We are constantly asked, “can I add anything to my Mighty Blendz?”
The short answer: yes, but you never have to.
Mighty Blendz was created to be a complete, on-the-go smoothie meal in 30 seconds, wherever you are. No freezing, no blending, no fuss. All you need is water.
But… we understand some days some of us want to shake things up a bit, while still having the complete nutritional foundation Mighty Blendz provides. Accordingly, we’ve named this page “feeling fancy,” for the days you’re blending Mighty Blendz up at home, have a bit more time & want to shake up your smoothie more than usual. Some of these ideas are ours & some are yours — one of our favorite parts of growing as a brand has been getting emails from customers sharing the newest Mighty Blendz creation you have whipped up in the kitchen.
A note on carbs: Since Mighty Blendz is naturally low in carbs (only 1 net carb), you have room to add in more clean carbs, especially on higher activity days when you’re looking to replenish your carbohydrates after a hard workout. Most of these smoothie options are fruit variations to shake up both flavor and carb content. We typically recommend keeping fruit content to 1/2 cup of fruit or less to avoid a blood sugar spike from too much fructose (blog coming on this soon!)
Without further ado, here are our feeling fancy combinations:
Milk & ice
Blend 1 Mighty Blendz, 8 ice cubes, 8-16oz of your favorite milk choice.
We usually use an almond milk, but feel free to use your favorite milk choice here. You’d be surprised at the decadence just milk & ice can provide. The ice & milk will add an extra layer of creaminess and thickness to your daily Mighty Blendz.
Mighty In Paradise:
Blend 1 Mighty Blendz, 8oz coconut water, 1/4 cup frozen mango, & 1/4 cup frozen pineapple.
Move over, Piña Colada! There's a new tropical drink in town. This one is complete with protein, healthy fats, fiber, and leafy greens. It keeps blood sugar balanced, curbs cravings, & optimizes your body to do mighty things. Coconut water adds in some great electrolytes to beat the heat, while the mango & pineapple give a tropical taste, micronutrients, and some clean carbs to refuel after a tough workout.
Blend 1 Mighty Blendz, 8-16oz milk of choice, 1/2 frozen medium banana, 4 ice cubes.
Simplicity does the trick here. Add in a half of banana in addition to the Mighty Blendz milk & ice combination & you’ll have yourself a sweet, creamy, thick smoothie to start your day off right. The frozen banana is key here to creating a thick, creamy consistency. If you don’t have a frozen banana, add 8 ice cubes instead of 4.
Blend 1 Mighty Blendz, 1/2 cup of mixed frozen berries, 8-16oz milk of choice
Antioxidants, greens, micronutrients oh my! Berries shake up the typical sweet green flavor profile while adding an antioxidant punch to your daily smoothie & giving your brain some love for the day. Again, frozen berries are key here, but if you don’t have them, you can use fresh berries & 8 ice cubes instead.
Blend 1 Mighty Blendz, 8 ice cubes, 1 small Persian cucumber, 1 handful of fresh mint leaves, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 8-16oz water or milk of choice.
Enjoy this cooling, fiber-filled smoothie to supercharge your morning. Feel like you’re at the spa while starting your day. Pro tip: Cut off two extra slices of cucumber & lay them on your eyes to enhance the effects of this smoothie 😉🧖♀️
